The purpose of the Florida Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (FSHP) student chapter is to make students aware of pharmacy practice in health systems (hospitals, clinic settings, specialties); provide information to students about career directions and credentials needed for pharmacy practice in health systems; and to make students competitive candidates when applying for residency programs or hospital pharmacist positions upon graduation. We accomplish this via a guest speaker series at general body meetings, volunteer opportunities, professional development projects, hospital tours, an annual residency showcase and a clinical skills competition. We also offer reimbursement to members attending any state or national conferences such as FSHP annual and ASHP mid-year meeting.
